This has rapidly become one of my favourite CDs; it is beautifully and sensitively recorded, allowing all the nuances of the singers' voices to come through superbly. Highlights include the haunting "Venite, siccientes" sung by Carolyn Sampson and Rebecca Outram; "Laudate Dominum", performed with power and simplicity by Peter Harvey; and some stunning vocal athletics from the incomparable Charles Daniels in "Currite populi". The CD is accompanied by a very good information leaflet which also gives all the words, which will certainly be helpful to singers who are trying to get to grips with the pieces themselves.
