Monster Quest season two is a 5-disc set containing 20 episodes. They are Bigfoot in New York/ Black Beast of Exmoor/ Boneless Horror/ China's Wildman/ Chupacabra/ Ghosts/ Giant Bear Attack/ Giant Killer Snakes/ Giant Squid Ambush/ Jaws in Illinois/ Lake Monsters of the North/ Legend of the Hairy Beast/ Mega Hog/ Monster Spiders/ Ohio Grassman/ Real Dragons/ Sasquatch Attack II/ Super Rats/ Vampire Beast/ Vampires in America.
In the Ohio grassman episode a cast of a hand print is studied and a film allegedly showing the creature is analysed. In the Monster Spiders episode a team visits the Amazon jungle to investigate sightings of a five foot long spider. In the Ghosts episode a film apparently showing phantom soldiers on the Gettysburg battlefield is analysed. In Sasquatch Attack 2 the DNA found in the first episode from season one is tested again.
Season one of MQ features the Wisconsin dogman and four episodes on bigfoot type creatures but for fans of cryptozoology MQ2 is just as essential.

Not as good as the first series although it is much longer. This season has 5 disks containing 4 episodes per disk compared to season 1's 3 disks.
Unfortunately it covers some of season 1's investigations again and finds even less evidence than the first time around. Five of the episodes are on Bigfoot which is masquerading under several different names. The underwater investigations seem to follow legends rather than recent sightings so I think you can guess how they end up. The equipment they use is very impressive however some experts are extremely dubious, searching for bigfoot in the dark with a remote control miniature helicopter in a forest was extremely bizzare.
Saying this some of the episodes bring up amazing footage of living creatures and do raise some good questions.
All in all I found them far more negative towards the evidence in these episodes sometimes leaving you thinking 'what was the point in all that' in the end.
What you do get is 15 hours of mysteries which is excellent value at this price.

Bought this for my son last Christmas, in place of other dvd that I had to return. Took a chance on him liking this, but obviously had read other reviews on same. He really loved it and has now gone and ordered some of the other series.
Unfortunately, I think that they have stopped making them on TV, but the ones he has got are well viewed and I know he would buy more if they became available. The subjects in the dvd's are well researched by experts and the way they are presented is gripping and keeps your interest.
