A supurb quest,

At turns harrowing, at some hopeful and at others hilarious the monster in the mere is a textbook example of how to write an extremely entertaining and informative quest book.It is also thoroughly researched giving the impression no stone has been left unturned and includes several local myths from the north west, including the almost forgotten tale of the mermaid of martin mere (which was one of the largest lakes in Britain before it was mostly drained). The boys from the CFZ also solve the mystery of the monster and see it themselves, I recommend this book most highly.
