Synopsis

Perrier Award winner Dylan Moran is rapidly climbing in to the nations conciousness and affection following a high profile start to the year. The third series of Channel 4's Black Books has just finished, to great critical and public acclaim and the movie Shaun Of The Dead featuring Dylan is currently being shown around the country. This title was recorded during his 2004 UK Spring tour - his biggest to date- and judging by audience reaction they couldn't get enough. This is his first ever live recording -and it's very very funny.

5.0 out of 5 stars Priceless!, 9 Aug 2005
By Rowan Manahan (Ireland) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Monster (Audio CD)
Moran is an astounding talent, waxing lyrical and lateral in his worldview. I hear a new well-turned phrase every time I listen to Monster. A must-have if you enjoy comedic mastery at work.

"Heroin - yeah a great buzz, but it CAN give you a bit of a jippy tummy!"
"A grey, tiny starving little cat with diarrohea, sitting on a mattressless, sprung iron bed, with its huge eyes mewing at you. Smoking as well, probably - THAT's your potential!"
"In the old days in Ireland, people all styled their hair with buttermilk and there were four, yellow, tawny, piano-pub-key teeth between a family."

Priceless!

4.0 out of 5 stars don't listen to this in public, 11 Jan 2006
This review is from: Monster (Audio CD)
the first time i listened to this was on the bus back from town, where i'd bought it. big mistake - i was enterpreted by all as "the nutter on the bus" because i kept giggling to myself!

one negative point about this cd is that it doesn't include the encore which is found on the dvd version. this is a bit of a shame as the encore is one of my favourite bits - although it does include a great visual gag that would obviously be lost on the cd version.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dylan Moran, 17 Sep 2005
By A Customer
This review is from: Monster (Audio CD)
This was the funniest standup I have heard in years; my sides were aching with laughter by the end of it. I particularly enjoyed Moran's impression of the french, and his ideas on the potential of a person. Moran is definately a must have in any comedy collection.
