i went through much search before settling-in for purchasing these earphones. So here i break-up my feedback under two themes.

Pros:
- Awesome sound!!
- They allow the player to pump-up the volume (unlike Bose etc.).
- The cable is sturdy and very chic.
- The cable never tangles as it is a flat ribbon like construction.
- The sound is brilliant. The ear pieces do not extra colour/frequency and hence the aural senses do not get any exaggerated tonal values.
- The earbuds do require a break-in period i.e. they get to sound better with use and thereon remain superb
- Very attractive piece of audio technology.

Cons:
- The buds unlike the cable feels a tad delicate but that makes you wanna be a litle careful.

i purchased the Monster Beats by Dr. Dre along with a set of Monster Li Jamz and i conclude that the former really demonstrate great piece of audio engineering - My favourite now. The Lil Jamz are now kept standby and for alternate use.

Conclusion: Monster products give true value and oomph for the money spent. It is important that you too do your search before zeroing-in on any particular model. It helps appreciate technology better. And finally if you prefer, like me, you too could purchase twin-sets of the same earphones to ensure that you don't have to search for a replacement.

Must also thank all other Reviewers who have taken efforts in sharing their experiences and views without which purchasing a product would be tough. Does help to share. So when you purchase yours do always post your comments.

I'm a self confessed sound snob, I like my music crisp, clear and with absolute clarity. My previous headphones were Bose in ear and as you'd expect they had excellent sound quality, and whilst not the most practical of designs I was happy with them until they broke after less than 2 years. For the price that was not impressive, so I decided to change brand. These were highly recommended, so I gave them a go. If you're sitting still and using them for laptop work or other lazy pursuits they're excellent, but how many people want in ear earphones for that purpose? I certainly don't, I have a good pair of overheads for that. The problems come with these when you move around. The oval cups go from very small to enormous and none of them will stay in my ears whilst moving because of the weight of the extended speaker. The christmas tree shaped buds are better but there are only two sizes ranging from teeny to enormous again. To clarify I'm not talking about incredibly active activity, just simple walking will dislodge them and you do not get good sound quality if the earbuds don't fit well. Personally I think the design is dreadful if you intend to move (at all), so the excellent sound quality potential is completely negated. Hope this is helpful for those of you thinking of parting with your hard earned.

I got these headphones in July 2010, and have been very impressed with the sound quality. Your music comes through very clearly, and with the selection of ear-buds you get to slot on to them, you get a nice snug fit so that external sounds are blocked out.

However, one flaw with them is where the cable goes into the jack. The external red covering worked it's way loose a while ago, meaning that the wires were less protected and able to bend back and forth easily. The result of this is that I now only get sound through one ear.

This is a real shame, because they do look and sound great. So I would say, buy them if you can treat them gently, but if they are going to be in and out of bags / pockets, perhaps you should get something a bit more sturdy.

Great sounding headphones, but..
After a while one of the ear pieces came apart and the beats logo on both of them came off. Great sound quality but very poor construction quality.
