The Monster Ball tour was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. This girl can really perform both upbeat dancey numbers that she is known for but also excels at the piano. I think the concert had a good balance of piano numbers, typical gaga songs as well as interaction with the audience. the message she hammers home throughout of acceptance etc is really inspiring. I don't think you know the real gaga unless you see her concert. The set, costumes (fashion), the audiovisuals and the general structure of the concert were also outstanding. Never a dull moment, even when she wasn't on stage she kept the energy and built hype with the striking interludes. A MUST BUY!

I saw the Monster ball live in Nottingham back in May 2010 and it was amazing.. I have seen Rihanna and various other female stars live, and Gaga was up there with one of the best.

One of the better things about this DVD is that it features "Born this way" and "You and I" which are both performed fantastically.. Whereas some of the shows none of this material was released. DVD is absolutely brilliant, a must have if you are a Gaga fan :)

"The Monster Ball Tour" by Lady Gaga is an entertaining dvd that features many of her greatest songs. This collection shows Lady Gaga musically pouring her heart out in the songs with compelling artistic effect. My two favorite songs in this dvd are "So Happy I Could Die" and "Born This Way". In "So Happy I Could Die" she is wearing what appears to be an angel-themed costume. Please understand that I intend to live a long and happy life. However, this concert performance of "So Happy I Could Die" resonated with me because the implied meaning appears to be about always finding ways to always look for happiness and have fun. "Born This Way" is her last performance on this dvd that sends a message of believing in one's own beauty. I am glad that she chose "Born This Way" as the last track for her dvd concert performance. This is because I definitely needed to be reminded of the underlying message from "Born This Way." I also like the bonus features included. For example, she is seen meeting one of her mentors backstage (Liza Minnelli). The meeting proves to sentimental and uplifting as Liza Minnelli encourages Lady Gaga to continue going after her dreams. In the bonus features, Lady Gaga is also seen embracing and appreciating two among many of her biggest fans. "The Monster Ball Tour" dvd is great for anyone that has enjoyed any of her concerts and/or musical tracks.

I saw Lady Gaga on tour last year, and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. My idols include Morrissey and Alanis so electro pop was never a really big deal for me, but the Monster Ball changed all that. Gaga puts on more than a show, she puts on a theatrical production, a community and a place for people to go if they feel lost, excluded or feel like freaks. Her vocals are on form from start to finish, and her dancing and stage presence are matched only by her acoustic renditions of her own songs and covers of great classics. Gaga introduced me to what pop culture really means, and I like it a lot.

Gaga secured her place as one of my idols after I saw her perform.

Lady Gaga takes to the stage a never-before-seen concert from any music artist in history; Named TOUR OF THE YEAR at the Poll star Awards on February 3, 2012. How so? Lady Gaga is an entertainer, a performer, a talented singer, a designer, a theatrical pop art fashion creator and a diva with a purpose! This concert as stated by Lady Gaga is about liberating yourself and freeing yourself from whatever or whoever is bothering you, putting you down, or causing you to feel defeated; it's about being a freak, it's about not being afraid to be whoever it is you want to be, and definitely to experience the post-Apocalyptic house party vibe!

The stage opens with "Dance In The Dark" and the crowds are roaring with excitement not knowing what to expect. The music is not teenage bubblegum pop but rather music of all ages. It's not your typical pop music concert but more of a rock show. There's guitars, head bobbing, raw edge shouts by Lady Gaga, and most definitely jaw dropping moments. From seeing Lady Gaga dance, sing [not lip-sync], and entertain to having her pour her heart and soul into the fans who cry for her. She lies on stage covered in blood on one number as she begs the crowds to show their love, she wears all kinds of outfits from the flying nun, hoods, head gears, sexy fishnets, to other styles.

The tour is divided into four acts. It's aim was an "electro-pop-opera" according to People In The News. As stated in their book Lady Gaga (People in the News) the tour told a story through the acts--loosely based on the Wizard of Oz. "In Glitter way we hava a 21st century Yellow Brick Road and in Gaga a big-city Dorothy leading her friends on the journey. Unlike Dorothy, Gaga's mission is to arrive at the Monster Ball to celebrate.
