This is a really lovely book that we have enjoyed a lot. It is sweet and very insightful about how older siblings feel. It is unexpected and full of surprises and my children have really loved going through it over and over.

This book is a lot of fun for the little ones to hear. Since kids take things very literally, it is easy to see how Jack would conjure up a true monster in the crib! We enjoyed reading this book, talking about what was happening along the way, and what it means to be literal vs. fanciful! A great read for parents, and not so short that you feel you have missed a story!
