A great family game, made even better by being Hobbit related! We had lots of fun playing this over Christmas. My only criticism is that the playing pieces are a bit small (Hobbit size?) and therefore hard to pick up when moving round the board.

What you'd expect - a pretty straightforward Hobbit version of Monopoly with characters instead of roads for title deeds and middle earth places replacing the stations and the chance/community chest simply renamed and some of the penalty/reward wordings changed .
A nice touch is the utilities which are items (Sting and The Ring).
Some of the playing pieces are nice, but several are rather small and similar looking which can make it difficult when playing with more than 3 or 4 people.
Other than that and some only slightly Middle Earth style money there is nothing really to get too excited about.
Pictures on the main cards would certainly improve this and I was a bit disappointed that there weren't any.

I bought this product for my boyfriend for Christmas 2012. He's such a huge fan of LOTR and The Hobbit, so this was the perfect gift. It's accurate and such fun - better than original Monopoly (if you're a Hobbit fan, that is). Highly recommended.
