Product Description

People are dying for the new computer game by the software company Monkeewrench. Literally. With Serial Killer Detective out in limited release, the real-life murders of a jogger and a young woman have already mimicked the first two scenarios in the game.

But Grace McBride and her eccentric Monkeewrench partners are caught in a vise. If they tell the Minneapolis police of the link between their game and the murders, they'll shine a spotlight on the past they thought they had erased-and the horror they thought they'd left behind. If they don't, eighteen more people will die...

This book, whether you buy in it this title or (as i now realise) the re-titled version (Want To Play) is fantastic. i discovered this author with this book under the title Want to Play and regularly search Amazon for any new titles i haven't read. Just take care that you don't order this book and think that it is a new title or one you have missed because it is in fact the same as Want to Play. A must for all thriller fans - utterly brilliant.

It made a pleasing change to be surprised about whodunnit at the end of this book - a wonderful first novel.

A warning for those who might be looking for another book by the same authors - this is "Want to Play?" under another title.

Compelling read 19 July 2004
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Couldn't put this down from the moment I picked it up. Lots of black humour in it which lightens the load considering the serial killer context. Will definitely be buying Tracy's next book, characters are likable and writing style very readable.
