Amazon Verified Purchase
Apparently, only DVI-I has analogue and digital signals integrated in one cable. DVI-D (the kind of cable you mostly get with graphics cards and computer monitors) is digital only. It can't transmit an analogue signal from the VGA output of a graphics card to the DVI input of a monitor.

Doesn't work. I should have done my research before purchasing.
THIS PRODUCT WILL NOT CONVERT VGA(ANALOG) TO DVI(DIGITAL).
I went for a DVI to HDMI converter and got myself a 3 way HDMI switcher in the end. Works a treat ;) but i was lucky enough to have 1 HDMI slot on the TV, if you dont then.....bad luck, its time to upgrade. But whatever you do, dont bother with this!!!! its a waste of time and money.

Avoid. This does not work. Plugged the monitor, computer can see and identify it. Nothing is displayed on the screen though. Tried Mac and Linux. No worky.

linking my ps3 to a vga moniter this was a life saver . cam the day after i oredered it a 6pm so was amazed havent got the rest od it so not tried it yet will get bck to you

VGA Connector
Does what is says on the tin! Beware it's weight if using the xternal slot on a slim laptop, for example.
