Mongrel Magic is a heart-warming as well as bitingly witty look at the mixed breed dogs that for many are the dearest and rarest of companions. Well illustrated and chock full of ancecdotes, dog lovers can now classify their beloved mongrels into catagories like: The Vertical Shagpile, The Romney Marshall, The Borderline Collie, The Half Cocker, The Rough Diamond, and my favorite, the Family Circler. This is a delightful little book and a wonderful gift for any dog lover. I keep my copy right next to my shelf of Albert Payson Terhune books to remind myself that for the best of dogs, thoughbred is in the heart not always the breeding.

Mongrel Magic is a classic dog book. It tells stories of dogs that are not pure bred or a definite breed, a heart warming book.
