Mrs. Moneypenny has really opened up my eyes to finance. I have bought a notebook to record my goals and have really reviewed my outgoings and plan to change my outlook asap! This book was so user friendly and well laid out. Mrs. Moneypenny has a real knack at selling her organisational and planning skills. You feel so informed whilst reading through her humorous accounts of home life sorting out husband and children.
Some of the advice offered I was familiar with, however I am passing the book on straight to my actress sister and my graduate daughter both who will gleam valuable knowledge from the step by step format and straight forward approach!
Thanks to Mrs. Moneypenny for the motivation I needed to attend to my financial future.

Thank goodness. An excellent, simple to follow, no nonsense guide through this minefield of a subject. Written with a light and humorous touch and thoroughly readable. Aimed as the title indicates, it is equally applicable to teenagers of either sex and to young men. Indeed, I can think of a bunch of parents who should be encouraged to read it. The advice on the ever thorny issue of Pocket Money alone makes it thoroughly worthwhile

A (male) reader.

As a chartered accountant of somewhat mature years I suppose I should know it all anyway, but I was inspired enough to spend much of my birthday reading Mrs M's latest. It is a very readable and practical guide to what everybody should know about personal finance and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to manage their money rather than let it manage them.

I've been looking for a financial advice book for a while now, and upon stumbling onto this book by chance decided to give it a go. Boy am I so glad that I did. It's been one of the best instructional advice books I've read. Each stage/chapter is so clearly discussed with such ease yet precision that you increase your understanding without even knowing it. I wish someone had bought me this book when I was ten years younger. One thing I love is being able to share information and experience from strong powerful women is something I covet and this book allows that fluid exchange of life experience and expertise without compromising passion and direction as other financial books may.

I buying this book for your daughter, or any female friend/family member who is starting university or the very early stages of her career is a must!

This book inspired me to make an appointment with my financial adviser to discuss goals and get a clear picture of my situation. Yes, as Mrs M advised, I had to spend time sorting out the paperwork, but it was absolutely worth it for the clarity and sense of taking responsibility it brought. Worth reading for that alone, but also a great read in itself.

I like this book, throughout the author relates the subject back to women. I wouldn't say it is rocket science but it is great for those who have truly ignored their finances or those who need a reminder. It reminded me to increase my pension payments! The only thing missing for me is a section on investments.

This book is extremely basic and also presumes a level of income that most of us don't have. So far, the advice I have received is this:

- Save money by taking your children out of the most expensive private boarding school in the country and putting them in the local private school
- Fly economy rather than business
- Take the train rather than drive (I spent £500 a month on trains! It hardly solves money worries - in fact, it is our biggest outgoings after rent childcare).
