Product Description

Hi, I’m just tickled all sorts of colors that you’re here! Thank you so much for buying my book! I’m a 45 year old mother of 3 sons and a daughter. All 4 of my children are totally perfect in their individual imperfections. I also have a perfect lil grandson and another one on the way. My love bubbleth over! I have learned many things throughout the years, some of which I’m sharing with you in this book along with a few tried and true recipes. I hope this book inspires you to start saving money.

31. And always remember if someone has a problem with you that’s their problem. It doesn’t belong to you so don’t take it as your own, that’s stealing and we all know we shouldn’t steal, right? (That bit of wisdom was imparted to me by my dad. I’ve never forgotten it and I never will. I love my dad!)

96. When buying a vehicle go for one with great fuel mileage and reliability. I never buy a new car either. I always buy a used car, most of the time I buy a program car. These cars are still practically new with very few miles, still have their warranty and you can purchase them for a fraction of their original cost. In November 2012 I bought a 2012 program car with only 7k miles. This car has 10 airbags, gets 40 miles per gallon and still has its original warranty. How much did I pay? Almost half price!

25. Have you ever had a paper cut or other small cut? Hurts, I know but when it starts to get infected it really hurts…BAD. But I have a remedy and yes, it’s going to hurt…WORSE while you’re doing it but after that it’ll feel so much better and the infection will be gone *poof*, gone with no antibiotics and no expensive doctor visit. Soak a Q-tip in hydrogen peroxide (the kind found in the pharmacy section of your department store) and scrub the cut with the Q-tip like there’s no tomorrow. It’s going to HURT and it’s going to BUBBLE so don’t be alarmed. When you’re done scrubbing cover it with Neosporin and a band-aid. It will start to heal right away. On the other hand if you just pour peroxide on the cut it really doesn’t do much.

94. Do your holiday shopping right after the holiday the year before for tremendous savings. This method of shopping is generally used after Christmas to buy wrapping paper, tags, lights, bows, cards and even birthday presents but you can buy egg decorating kits and decorations after Easter, pumpkin carving kits, lights and costumes after Halloween and even mother and father’s day cards after their big day. Just store the items in your closet until the next year.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not worth it. 24 April 2012
By Clara Heisterberg - Published on
Most of these are tips people already know, like using hydrogen peroxide on cuts, and shopping after Christmas for sales. Other tips aren't really tips at all, like "Don't steal from other people." Unless you really need someone to tell you that you should buy a car with good fuel mileage, my advice is to not waste your time or money on... this book.

2.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Sorry Excuse for a Book 16 Jun 2012

This is just a pitiful attempt at writing a book. It is just rambling...not writing. The author's thoughts are so disjointed. Reminds me of someone who talks just to hear their own voice. The tips are either very common knowledge or just ridiculous. Some of the "ideas", I could not figure out if it was to save time or to save money as it did not seem like it would do either one. Pretty sorry excuse for a book. Save time and money by not buying the book!

3.0 out of 5 stars Sweet, but misguided 11 Jan 2013

While the author's stated purpose was to save time and money, I don't really think she's saving either. Making your own laundry detergent, softener and conditioner isn't really saving anything. How much time do you waste chasing all over the place to find Super Washing Soda (I've never even heard of it) and grinding up soap bars? For the time (and gas) that it took to do this, she would have been better off running to WalMart getting the cheap bottle of laundry detergent (about $5 for the big bottle) and paying 88 cents for the V05 conditioner. Done!

Cutting up the soap puff to store bath tub toys was a cute idea, but letting the kids sit and play in the tub doesn't save time nor money. When you get home at night do you have time to put Jr. in the tub and let him mess around? I don't. As soon as both of my kids could stand up comfortably on their own, they learned about showers. Get in, get wet, soap up, rinse off, get out. Save water, save time and teach kids to get the job done rather than play around. I know it sounds cold, but if they sat in the tub there was no time for bedtime story and I was late to bed making up the time sitting there minding them in the tub. People have to make choices. It should always start with an examination of what your time is worth.
