My 3 year old had been using her brother's blue Mini Micro Scooter for several months without incident and was delighted to get her own pink scooter as a Xmas present. In 2 days she has gone over the handlebars twice on a perfectly flat road. Amazingly all she has is a sore elbow but could easily have split her chin open or broken an arm. The handlebar is directly above the axle which means a small forward shift in weight over the handlebar allows it to tip forward. She is slightly taller than average, slim build and very active but fairly sensible. She was not doing anything unsafe on the scooter, is well within the recommended age limit and the ridiculous weight limit of 50Kg. It may be suitable for a younger child who is short enough to ensure in no way they can lean at all over the handlebars, but not for an average active 3 year old. Use with caution. I rarely review an item but am very concerned about the safety of this product and all other reivews we can find are glowing.
