There's a bit more electronica in this release than Monaco's first effort. The bassline in the first song, "I've Got a Feeling," is quite similar to Brotherhood's "Weirdo," but hey, I don't mind -- it's a great song. The last song on the album is an instrumental (a la Sedona on MfP) that's definitely drum 'n' bass. All in all, a solid second effort with some seriously catchy tunes.

...after all, David Potts sure sounds alot like Bernard, and with Hooky's unmistakable bass guitar, you'd be thinking you were listening to New Order! But for now with NO in the studio with a new album on the way, this'll have to do. And what a great album it is! Although not as good as "Music For Pleasure", all ten songs are catchy and infectious as ever. This is especially evident in the first three songs: "I've Got A Feeling", "A Life Apart", and "Kashmere". I have to admit that the video for "Feeling" went to the dogs!(if you've seen the video, you'll know EXACTLY what I mean! ;-)). Anyways, highly recommended like their first one!

No! Contrary to popular belief this is very classy, and shows that the band have improved since their debut album in 1997. I actually reckon a lot of this sounds like the Lightning Seeds, but it will obviously appeal to NewOrder fans most of all. Standout tracks are "It's A Boy", "Black Rain", and the sublime "I've Got A Feeling", but, unlike "Music For Pleasure", there aren't (m)any tracks that require skipping. Top stuff!

Well, this is a case of does this sound like Hooky's previous work on New Order's Brotherhood. And David Potts sounds more like Bernard Sumner than well Bernard Sumner!
But apart from that this is an album of great melodies and because like me you miss New Order, this is about as close your likely to get.
