UNSUSPECTING...

Helena Shea is putting her life back together. Once a highly paid supermodel and now the owner and CEO of her own modeling agency, a recent bitter scandal that nearly destroyed Helena and the daughter she gave up for adoption years ago seems to be settling down. With a chance to have a relationship with her daughter, Frankie, and the development of a center for wayward young mothers that Helena is funding, it looks as if life is turning around for mother and daughter. However...

EVIL LURKS

A killer raised amidst evil and seeking revenge is targeting Helena. Leaving a trail of blood in his wake, this sadist plans his return into Helena's life. When the madman abducts Frankie, Helena fears she might never see her daughter again. Seeking help from the journalist who almost destroyed her, an FBI agent with suspicions toward her, as well as her ex-lover who is also Frankie's father, Helena must find the strength to fight past addictions and see her daughter back home again--alive.

Prepare to lock your doors. This eerie thriller will have you up late into the night looking over your shoulder. It is as equally compelling as it is disturbing.

Good solid read 27 May 2011

I started out by reading 'Daddy's Home' and enjoyed it so much that I gave this one a go. Am so glad I did. None of the usual dragging out the story as you get with some books. This is a fast moving novel with suspense and a good solid story. I read this book in two days and found it hard to put down. Can't wait for the next book.

Loved it! 30 May 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
Okay, so I have to say that I was a sceptic when I started reading my favorite author as A.K. Alexander. I am not one for all the horror and gore of things, but I am pleased I have given this book, and Daddy's Home and The Cartel (my favorite of A.K.'s three books) a try.

Mommy, May I? is about Helena Shea who has some ups and downs in her life and she wants to get things back on track. She is attempting to make ammends in her life and forge relationships she needs in her life. She is an interesting character with faults I think most of us can relate to. When a serial killer enters her life, she is unaware until a murder leads back to Helena and then her sixteen-year-old daughter Frankie (I have to say that Frankie is as strong of a character as Helena. I enjoyed reading her scenes very much) is abducted by this guy. There is intrigue, drama, some romance, and a mystery that has a surprise ending. I never would have guessed what was going to happen.

I personally enjoy A.K. Alexander as Michele Scott. I met her once at a writer's conference and had read her books. She is a lovely person and I admit I am her biggest fan. I think so anyway. I very much enjoy her mysteries, but these books are just as good, just a bit scarier and darker than her usual stuff.
