About the Author
Molly Badham has been keeping primates and other animals for nearly fifty years. She is currently director of the Twycross Zoo East Midland Zoological Society. Maureen Lawless is a double award winning journalist, who has written for a wide variety of publications on animal issues, including NEWS OF THE WORLD, DAILY MAIL and the MAIL ON SUNDAY. She runs the Bromsgrove branch of The Farm Animal Sanctuary, the first sanctuary set up specifically to provide a home for sick and injured farm animals, which she co-founded in 1986.

Today as I neared the end of this book I was filled with tremendous sadness as I realised that it was nearly at an end.
Even though I only got the book yesterday from Tycross Zoo (fast reader,especially with such an enthralling book) I was so wrapped up in the words in these pages I nearly missed the bus to my college!
Not only was this book informative, it was entertaining and gave the true insight to the life of two women who lived for their passion.
The strength of Nathalie astounded me despite her condition and I learnt so many things from within these pages.
I urge everyone to read the book - the series may have covered some of the life of Molly and Nathalie, but the book spells it all out.

A VERY ENJOYABLE READ,THIS BOOK MAKES YOU FEEL A PART OF THE TWYCROSS FAMILY OF ANIMAL LOVERS,IT TAKES YOU THROUGH THE TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS OF STARTING THE ZOO,FROM RIVAL PET SHOP OWNERS TO PRESENT DAY COMPANIONS, VERY WELL WRITTEN.

This is one of the best written stories of two wonderful Ladies who, at a time when it was not easy for women to do such things, managed to set up and run the best zoo for apes in the world.It is quite unbelievable that they are still going strong even though they are in their 80's. They are a most remarkable couple, and the book was so well written that I couldn't put it down once I had started reading it.Compulsive reading.
