5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect gift for cosmopolitan people 28 Jun 2009
Format:Hardcover
I needed to make a gift, a simple one. And I found the Moleskine City Notebook to be one of the most practical and useful gifts ever. The person I bought it for simply loved it. It was helpful to bring back good memories of a familiar city and to give and insight about places to visit and how to do it. It is very complete as well, since it contains a lot of handy information.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tokyo atlas and notebook. 25 Dec 2011
By Louis
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
This little book has a steet atlas of Tokyo and an index for the metro system. Blank pages are available for tourists to make personal notes of places of interest (like restaurants and shops). This item can be a great gift for someone going to Tokyo, and indeed someone living there.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Fun extra 22 Nov 2010
By Justin Cozart - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
If you're going to Tokyo and have a tiny bit of extra space, take one of these.

Some of the extras like the maps, conversion chart, etc are essentially worthless. You really need a detailed map of blocks and suburb names to get around Tokyo properly, however, the other features included such as a small address book, subway map, and little pockets are handy.

The construction of the book is excellent and a trip journal is one of the best souvenirs you can come home with. Another high-quality product from Moleskine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great Moleskine notebook! 22 Dec 2009
By Michael Popp - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
I've been using Moleskine notebooks for simple sketches and note taking for years. I've always enjoyed their durability and design.

I frequently travel to Asia for business and was looking for somethine 'different' for my next trip to
Tokyo. Something I could take with me when I have a chance to go sightseeing. After searching around a
bit, the Moleskine City Notebook Tokyo popped up in my search results. I had not learned of this Moleskine
product line before. So after reading the specs (96 pages, 5.5"x3.4", maps, railway guide, etc.). I
decided to purchase. The price was right.

I was impressed to see that all the features mentioned fit into such a compact notebook. The railway guide
is in Japanese and English as is the Tokyo city maps. Outstanding if you need to ask someone passing you
by on the street directions. Tracing paper included to trace out your planned routes ... or not so
planned, helping find your way back to the nearest train station.

For the traveler on their first, second, or even third trip to Tokyo this City Notebook is a must have!
The city maps and railway guide alone make it a worthwhile investment. If you're a seasoned adventurer to
Tokyo and know your way around the major train stations and major attractions it may not be as necessary.
But what it will provide is a wonderful place to take notes, reference the various locations you plan on
visiting, and perhaps take you to places in Tokyo you never thought of seeing.

And besides, having the Moleskine City Notebook Tokyo in your backpack or hip pocket ready to bust-out
becomes a great conversation piece when taking a break at one of the thousands of small coffee shops and restaurants in Tokyo.

I look forward to using my Moleskine book for my stay in Tokyo. I love the bilingual city and train maps, amble pages to journal travel events and the ways to personalize the entertainment review sections. Make sure you look for the best price among the vendors! Thanks, Amazon.

2.0 out of 5 stars BAIT AND SWITCH 3 Mar 2010
By David C. Starr - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
ABOUT ALL I CAN FIND OF VALUE IN THIS OVERPRICED NOTEBOOK IS ITS HANDY SIZE. IT REALLY IS NOTHING MORE THAN A NICELY BOUND BOOK OF BLANK PAGES WITH A SET OF NICE MAPS TOO SMALL TO BE OF VALUE IN THE FRONT.
