Like comfy jeans on the weekends, the "Moleskine Cahier" is casual yet durable. A journal for all occasions - it's soft, light and fits in every pocket. There is a flexible cardboard cover that houses the acid-free paper pages, while the thread stitching is visible on the spine. The back cover has a spacious pocket for notes or clippings, and the last 16 pages of each journal are detachable. Available in black or Kraft (tan brown), each set contains three notebooks and comes with a removable card with the history of Moleskines.

This type of moleskin notebook provide without doubt the best binding system and slip neatly into the cargo pocket of my trousers. Cheaper than field notes and at least as good a quality. A no-brainer at this price.

Great product. Could be very useful, however, i tend to be very hard on my work materials. I was using this product daily for work notes and keeping track of daily events. It spend half the day being yanked out of and shoved back into a pocket last summer. For the most part it help up, but the edges started fraying and pages fell out. Its very useful, but if you're hard on your gear, i would choose something a bit sturdier like the hardback notebooks or the thicker moleskines. I have a set of the other moleskines and i love them.
