Product Description
Surely a design classic, the Moleskine notebook was originally made by a small bookbinding company in Paris. For a hundred years discerning artists, journalists, authors and travellers were able to buy these wonderful notebooks in Parisian stationers. Picasso, Van Gogh, Hemingway and Chatwin were all fans of this anonymous little black notebook. In 1986 the manufacturer of these notebooks, then based in Tours, closed down and they were no longer available until a Milanese publisher began to produce them again in 1990. Since then the range has expanded hugely but the basic concept and quality remain exactly the same. We have stocked Moleskine since 1990 and we are pleased to say that we know the product well.

Great to see that there are still some well bound high quality books aound. Although quite expensive this one would appear likely to last which is exactly why I bought it. Best deal was on Amazon.

This is a perfect little notebook for my needs, which is a small professional diary. The hardback cover is substantive and I love the red color as it stands out so it never gets lost amongst the mess on my desk. Like someone else had mentioned, the ONLY thing I don't like about it is that if you use a particularly heavy ink (like a sharpie) it will bleed through to the next page. I use pretty heavy ink in a ball point, and depending how heavy i write once in a while the ink soaks through so I can't use the pages double-sided; but usually it's not a problem and I write on both sides of the pages most of the time without problems.

A quality product at a great price. Nice to be able to get Moleskein books in colours other than the ubiquitous black. No batteries or wifi needed to use!
