Well, firstly, just to stop people being caught off guard; LARGE equates to roughly A5 size, with EXTRA LARGE being A4. Not a problem personally, as I knew exactly what I was buying, but it could be annoying.
The book itself is the standard high quality one comes to expect; the cover is textured and inflexible, and quite resilient to plaster and paint (I found out to my dismay). Inside you have a tough card page onto which, if you so choose, you can write personal details, and at the back there's a small folder into which you can file notes/scrap pieces of paper/peoples business cards. The actual paper I was quite startled at; it is very thin! Probably not a problem to most, but I was quite perturbed by the fact that when I pushed down with my pencil on one page, the previous image's shading/tone would be transferred to the adjacent page. Once again; not an issue if you use them for note taking/writing, but i'm an illustrator, so... A work around I did find was to simply put a leaf of normal paper in between the pages; not glamorous, but it does the job.
Lastly, the red colour is very very nice, often i've got comments on the actual sketchbook more than I have on its contents!
