Mole's Babies 8 Mar 2011
By S Riaz TOP 50 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE
Format:Paperback
Mole is excited to find he is going to be a daddy and sets out to prepare for his babies arrival. What will they need? Being a good father, he sets off to explore ways to make them happy - he finds that bunnies like to bounce and chicks like to flap, but Mole is not good at any of the things he discovers babies like to do. However, when his own babies do arrive, he finds that all they really need is love. This is a very sweet story, with lovely illustrations and a simple storyline. A warm and reassuring bedtime story and ideal for 2-4 year olds.

Fatherly love 25 Jan 2011
By Parents in Touch TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Paperback
The cut-outs and shiny shapes on the cover will immediately appeal to little children, as they trace the shapes and then turn to the bright colour inside. Just like all parents, Morris the Mole wants to make his babies happy so he looks all around to see what others do to make their babies happy. Is hopping the answer? Or splashing... or flapping? But, oh dear, poor Morris can't do any of these things. Luckily, in this enchanting story, he finds out just what all babies need - and he has lots of that to give. A thoughtful story that puts priority on the most important thing - love. Each creature and family is beautifully depicted in exquisite drawings and collages by Rosalind Beardshaw. A lovely reassuring read to share with your young one

Sweet Story That Celebrates Dads 5 May 2012
By Cheryl C. Malandrinos - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
What I love most about this sweet story is we see how important a father is to his children and what an important role he plays. Especially when children are little, it's often the mom who gets the attention, but Bedford puts together a book that celebrates dads instead. I love it!

Rosalind Beardshaw provided the illustrations for Mole's Babies. These are such adorable pictures. Soft, warm colors fill the pages of this book. Every time Morris tries to mimic what the other animal parents are doing with their babies he ends up getting hurt. Beardshaw captured each of these moments so well. I love how Morris's eyeglasses always ended up somewhere different. The picture of Morris, Mimi (mother mole), and the babies in bed is my favorite.

This is the perfect book for a father-to-be, but any dad with young ones will love to read this to his kids.
Kristi's Book Nook 29 Mar 2012
By Kristi Bernard - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
Morris will soon become a proud dad. In order to get ready he wanted to see how the other animal dads made their babies happy. First he tried hopping like a bunny, but that didn't work. Then he tried flapping make believe wings like the chicks and that didn't work. Then he tried splashing like the ducks and that didn't work either. What is the secret to making babies happy? Will Morris ever learn the secret? Is there a secret to making babies happy? You'll have to read this funny story to see.

Soft colorful illustrations of all the animals will make this book a fun read for little ones. Kids will learn to identify animals and even help Morris figure out the secret to making babies happy. Parents can have fun with their children by making all the different animal noises and talking to children about what each animal likes to do and eat.
