Book Description

27 May 2010 Mog

Reissue of this board book about everyone’s favourite family cat, Mog. With new cover design.

Mog doesn’t sleep on the little boy’s bed any more. She has two kittens to look after and she has to look after them all the time. Enjoy seeing what the naughty kittens get up to as they grow older and bolder.

This title is ideal for toddlers who will delight in seeing the antics of these two kittens. It is also an excellent book for children who themselves have pets to care for.

She left Germany with her family in 1933 to escape from the Nazis and they arrived in England in 1936, having spent the intervening years in Switzerland and France. She is best known for her children's books, both self-illustrated picture titles such as the 17-strong Mog series and The Tiger Who Came To Tea, and novels such as When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit and The Other Way Round, which tells the story of the rise of the Nazis in 1930s Germany from a child's perspective.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not the best storyline 30 Jan 2011
By Spenner
Format:Board book
The inspiration seems to have run dry a bit with this one - it must be hard to do a satisfying story with re-used artwork in 16 pages, but this is not a winner in my view. Nicky misses having Mog sleep on his bed, as she's got to take care of her kittens. This might have been used to help a child deal with getting a sibling, but let's just say that Nicky's solution is a bit drastic... and it's not very well explained, either. I can't think that most toddlers would understand what's going on, and if they did, it's a little bit psychotic anyway. Three stars because the illustrations are cute and I like the format - perfect for small hands and apparently unbendable, unlike most of the board books my son has maimed.

5.0 out of 5 stars A delightful tale about mog's naughty kittens! 1 April 2009
By Megep
Format:Board book|Verified Purchase
My little one loves this book. She giggles with delight as we read this and loves looking at the pictures of "Mog's naughty kittens". We brought a copy for our nephew for his birthday. Knew it had been a hit when my sister rang to tell me that she had been forced to read it more than 6 times in one day!

4.0 out of 5 stars Mog's Kittens 26 Aug 2008
By Delfhill VINE VOICE
Format:Board book
One of the better Mog stories, a sweet little tale if rather short and predictable. The illustrations delight our grand-daughter, a firm favourite with her. A Mog story suited for the younger end of the Mog reader spectrum.

Bought this book as my daughter loves the Mog books, this was quite short so I think its for younger children (she's 3)
