In focusing on this lesser-known phase in the build up to American involvement in Vietnam, it outlines important lessons in the understanding of counterinsurgency movements that are relevant to today's conflicts.
About the Author
Roger Trinquier was an officer in the French Army. He served in Indochina and Algeria.
