On the sleeve notes of this set it says that these 2 CDs are not for casual fans who are looking for another 'Greatest Hits' compilation. But I think these 2 CDs are very accessable to everyone. With the songs and their different takes all in the order of original time and date you get a real sense of progression that leads to B. B. King being signed to RPM Records. The arrangements on the songs start off modest and progress to a big band at the end of disc 2. B. B. King's guitar playing and vocals are amazing as ever with the added edge of him wanting a major record label contract. A must for fans of Blues at its best.
