The Pritchett clan has Jay sitting at the head, a true guys’ guy experiencing a bit of mid-life crisis, who has remarried a much younger wife, Gloria, whose passion and loyalty is matched by her 11-year-old son, Manny, a boy wise beyond his years. Absolutely great sitcom, awesome to have something for large extended families to sit down, enjoy and relate too! Season 2 is even better than the premiere season surprisingly, with a few episodes not as great! Overall, amazing show!

Bought this and Season 1 on the basis of the glowing reviews. not disappointed. My three children are of similar age to the children in the show and they think it is most amusing. Every aspect of this show is genius. Great performances. Cannot recommend highly enough

With 30 Rock, The Office and Curb Your Enthusiasm there is s decent choice of top flight comedies at the moment. Modern Family easily holds its own in the top league.
The script quality is unflinching, casting, characters and acting perfect. Brilliant stuff.
If you're new to the series watch Series 1 first. Every episode is a treat.
I've also been recommended Parks and Recreation - will probably have a look at that sometime soon.
