I bought this shade to replace a white Chinese lantern and it provides an elegant interesting change. With a 60w equivalent bulb (recommended) it gives a good even spread of light. I like it very much.
It comes with a bracket on which it rests and the instructions provided tell you to fix this to the ceiling rose first and then rest the shade on it. Because the bracket fits very tightly to the shade I found it impossible to fit it standing on a chair trying to manoeuvre it into place. Much easier (and safer) is to fit the bracket to the shade first and then simply offer it to the rose pendant and screw the rose holder into place.
