"The first fundamental principle for the creation of a successfully visible Islamic society is to be separate and distinct..."

In Modern Day Trojan Horse, Sam Solomon and E Al Maqdisi bring to the fore a new angle to the debate over Islamic immigration.

They claim that not only are there religious texts dedicated to the task of covert colonisation, but it is at the very heart of the religion; even going so far as to state that migration is as important to the religion as jihad.

I have to say that at first, I was somewhat sceptical about this. There is so much out there dedicated to showing how jihad isn't just an inner struggle, and that Islam's history is one of a series of brutal and violent conquests, that you'd be forgiven for thinking that this is all there is with regards to jihad. But it seems we've only been acknowledging and debating one side of the story.

However, the authors waste no time in making their case, going straight for the jugular explaining that the Islamic calendar started at the point in Mohammed's life when he migrated from Mecca to Medina; because it is with this event that Mohammed secured his first victory for Islam.

As for a religious precedent for a covert takeover of a given community or country, the authors dedicate quite a bit of space to tell us the ways in which Mohammad conquered Medina. As the prophet is meant to be the supreme example for all Muslims to emulate, the way Mohammad plotted and planned his eventual success (negotiating a mine field of enemy tribes and people much more powerful than him), lends credence to their thesis.

The more I thought about this, the more it made sense. We know for example that there are differences of opinion in opinion as to how to fight the enemy. With Salafists advocating violence (al Qaeda types), and there are Muslim Brotherhood type groups which advocate using an enemy's governmental/democratic system to gain power and implement Islamic law - shari'ah (Muslim Brotherhood/Hizb ut-Tahrir types). So the methods are different, but the goals are the same.

The main body of the book deals with concepts related to these covert practices. Some of which include the religious principle of necessity (darura) where the forbidden becomes lawful; so when Muslim immigrants are few in number, handling pork and alcohol, mixing of the sexes in the workplace and public places (such as swimming pools) etc. is permitted by (Islamic) law. But once the Muslim community is of a certain size and [political] strength, do they then begin to make small demands which are deemed legitimate by the host community, but are in fact ushering in shari'ah norms step by sporadic step. And with the implementation of various devices such as Shari'ah finance, and a burgeoning Halal food industry, these not only represent huge cultural shifts, but also increasing financial power.

Other concepts explained are allegiance and rejection [of a host community's culture and laws]; consolidation (tamkeen), making Islam appeal to non-Muslims - in order to convert non-Muslims as well as allow for the preparation (I'dad) of the Islamic community for jihad (which is where the mosques come in), and a few other concepts besides.

Out of this 140 page book, just over 90 are dedicated to explaining the main concepts and the remaining 50 towards questions asked of Islamic clerics (called ulema), from a popular website dedicated to all things theology. In this section are eight questions, with full answers from various clerics regarding what is permissible with migration and living in infidel lands. The second appendix consists of a small graphic mapping out the progression from Allah and Mohammed's directives to an eventual Islamic state.

A frightening, must read.

Deserves an award. . . excellent book that deserves to be read 8 Nov 2010
By Kendra - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I wasn't planning to write a review on this book but I saw Jessica S' one-star review and I wanted to counter it. Jessica could not have read the book. I have read almost every book out there about Islam in addition to reading the much of the source material itself. Out of ALL the books I read last year, I learned the most from this specific book and from Sam Solomon's other two books, The hundred page "The Mosque Exposed" and "Al-Yahud: Eternal Islamic Enmity and the Jews". I was at the point where I really thought I wouldn't find new material since there are so many books out there which say the same things. This book, The Modern Day Trojan Horse, is nothing of the sort.

This clearly explains and discusses the actual doctrine of immigration, Al-Hijra, and explains exactly what drives Islamic conquest and how conquest is achieved and how it's been achieved throughout the centuries using examples in history. It explains how abrogation is used to define tactics in different geographical areas and how it is dependent upon the kinds of inroads Islam has already made, including demographics, etc. I've not seen this information laid out so clearly and coherently anywhere else.

There is no personal story in here-- about how one of the authors left Islam (the other was born Christian in an Islamic country). I'd actually like to know more about that, but that information cannot be found in this book-- which leads me to believe that the one-star reviewer, Jessica S., has another agenda entirely.

Excellent Product 12 Aug 2009

"The Modern Trojan Horse, Doctrine of Islamic Immigration" must be read. Everyone needs to understand that Islamic immigration into self-segregating communities under sharia law, not the laws of the United States, is sedition against the United States government. Sedition is not protcted by the First Amendment. It is against the law to advocate the overthrow of the United States government.

The Islamic Trojan Horse, a Pandora's Box... 12 Mar 2011
By Caped Crusader - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
In this frightening book, Sam Solomon and E Al Maqdisi lay out the various Islamic principles relating to Islamic immigration of non-Muslim lands.

The authors show that, far from Muslim immigrants moving to foreign lands for the pursuit of financial, political or social means (as other migrants tend to do), Muslim immigration is in fact at the heart of the religion and as important to Islam as jihad (holy war).

Far from violence (terrorism, honour killings) being the activities of the 'extremists', these go hand in hand with immigration, and the Muslims sent to foreign lands are under various religious obligations when they do so.

For example, now that we're seeing more and more cases of Muslims refusing to handle alcohol or pork in the workplace, or insisting on segregation of the sexes in swimming pools etc., this begs the question, how come they did so in the past without complaint? This is explained with the theological principle of 'darura' or necessity, and furthermore, far from showing moderate behaviour, betray a Muslim's motives in employing Islamic techniques for the ultimate aim of bringing about Shari'ah (Islamic law).

As more and more of the faithful gain strength in numbers, their singular voice becomes more and more powerful, thus more difficult to ignore. This is not only applied in the work place, but in politics, economics and all other areas of life. Other concepts related to immigration are things such as 'tay'seer' (facilitation); I'dad (preparation, which is where the multiple births is important) 'tamkeen' (empowerment, which includes the building of mosques) and so on.

Once you get through the first couple of chapters (only a few pages long each), the style changes tone as the authors give more of a background to all things theology. As Mohammad is said to be an exemplary figure upon which all Muslims should aspire, the life of the Prophet is looked at and how his first conquests through migration were the keys to the religion's success.

This is then followed by brief outlines of Islamic immigration principles into Nigeria, as well as Malaysia and how Indonesia came to be Islamised.
