2.0 out of 5 stars Over ambitious 30 Oct 2006
Format:DVD
This film tries to deal with almost every important artist from 1900 to about 1970. As the film is only 90 minutes long no artist gets more than about 5 minutes attention, I was left with the impression that this is really just a role call of the most important artists of the 20th century. You do get to see some examples of their work and a brief description of what they were about, but don't expect any in depth analysis.

4.0 out of 5 stars Historical but enlightening 13 Jun 2005
By A Customer
Format:DVD
Orson Wells does 'the voice', and the ground covered by this DVD is pretty comprehensive, good value for money, with lots of clips and interviews with some of the biggets names in 20th Century Art. A worthwhile archive, with some good insights. The quality of the original clips and sound is not always great, but this adds authenticity.
