Book Description

26 Sep 2003 Osprey Modelling (Book 1)
This book is devoted to modelling both the Harrier I and II, namely the British variants of the Harrier and Sea Harrier as well as the AV-8 series used by the US Marine Corps. In over 30 years of service, the Harrier has seen significant combat action for the British Royal Navy and the USMC: from the Falklands to Bosnia and Kosovo, from the Gulf War to Afghanistan, the Harrier has played a key role. Using a variety of scales (from 1/24th to 1/72nd) and exploring aspects such as weathering, use of resin and photo-etched parts, conversion kits, and diorama scenarios, this book is a packed and informative modelling guide for the Harrier I and II.

5.0 out of 5 stars Modelling the Harrier 14 Sep 2009
Format:Paperback
Yet another of the Osprey modelling books that I've added to my collection.
Was upto their usual very high standards, but I was a bit surprised that it didn't have more on the Airfix 1/24th kit which are so cheap to buy off the web.

These books are great I already have a few of these some may say that they showcase the authors modeling skill and thats all but I disagree. The authors of these books are good at what they do and by publishing books like this they can pass on the modeling skills they have built up over years of modeling, and pass them on through books like this to others willing to learn new skills and techniques. That you would sometimes be hard pressed to figure out with out much effort.Well worth the price and full of all sorts of useful modeling info.

2.0 out of 5 stars given the title, disappointing. 5 Nov 2013
By Baz
Format:Paperback
If you are expecting this to be a in depth build a harrier model book then you'll be disappointed. The few pictures in that department are too small to be of much use. Shame because this book could have been so much more. There are however some lovely pictures in various schemes that demonstrates what can be achieved with work. Worth having but only just.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must have for any modeler of the Harrier 24 May 2013
By Aleksandor51 - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This book is perfect for any serious modeler who wants to build the best possible Harrier. It goes into extensive detail with clear text and excellent photos for three different Airfix kits, including their formidable 1/24 Sea Harrier. However, the advice is valid for any other manufacturer of Harrier kits.
