Book Description

13 Sep 2005 Osprey Modelling (Book 21)
The Churchill makes for a fascinating modelling subject, with numerous marks and variants, including brideglayers, flame-throwers (such as the Crocodile) and customised assault vehicles (such as the spigot-mortar armed ARVE). There is also a wide range of kits and after-market accessories available from mainstream manufacturers: in fact, 2004 will see the release of no fewer than 12 full 1/35-scale Churchill kits, a sure sign of its popularity and attraction as an Allied armour modelling subject. This book provides a comprehensive guide to modelling the Churchill infantry tank across a range of skill levels. Packed with tips and techniques, it also covers the addition of figures and vignette settings, and some challenging builds of detailed Churchill variants.

Review

"Not just for Churchill fans, as the techniques on these pages could be out to use on many other modeling projects. A definite must have from this modeler's point of view, very highly recommended for any and all treadheads alike!" -Mark Smith, "Armorama "(August 2005)

Having great expectation's of this title,I must confess to being a bitt dissapointed with being all 1/35 scale models.1/72 is my field of hobby. No reviews of any braille scale. However the title was up to Osprey's high standards. The layout is simular to the other Osprey Modeling Titles.Lot's of color and helpfull how to's.A bitt overpriced for the content.Did not satisfy this Churchill fan.
