Product Description

If you've ever wondered how MOCK THE WEEK would look in a world without censors, then wonder no more. This DVD box set contains all three volumes of the best laugh out loud moments that couldn t be shown on TV or anywhere else, for reasons of taste, decency and sheer outrageousness. See Dara, Frankie, Russell, Andy and Hugh go further than ever before with star guests like Ed Byrne, Rhod Gilbert, Sarah Millican and David Mitchell and many more joining in the misbehaviour.

Mock the Week is a favourite tv programme of mine, so I found this dvd box set quite enjoyable. Haven't yet had chance to watch all 3 dvds in the set, but what I have watched, I've enjoyed

5.0 out of 5 stars strong stuff 28 Aug 2012
Verified Purchase
Extremely funny even after several viewings (don't live in UK so rely on DVDs). Very strong language but nevertheless harmless enough. Can understand why it is the uncut version. Looking to buy some more episodes.
One negative point - the packaging from the supplier was very flimsy and the first order arrived with the discs damaged and unreadable. Amazon replaced them without a problem.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious! 2 Dec 2011
A brilliant collection of some of the funniest "Mock the Week" moments. Very funny and very smart. All your the favourite panellists at their best. Great value for a mcok the week fan.

Laugh a minute!
Perhaps a little rude and dare I say crude for some but I LOVED it...wish there was more!

5.0 out of 5 stars Not too hot; just right. 15 May 2012

Worth it. Buy it. I'm in the US, so no chance this will ever be broadcast here. I'd buy as many of these DVDs as they would print, but the BBC won't even do more of the QI series - a bizarre and incomprehensible failure of judgement on their part - so it seems unlikely that they'll do more of the rather more topical MTW shows. Still, the news may be old but the humor stays fresh, and the out-takes and back-and-forth are nothing but pleasure; and if the BBC pulls their stuff from the YouTube channels in future, at least I'll have this to enjoy. Oh, yes - I refuse to make some cheap crack about Amazon spelling Dara's name 'O'Braian'. It's probably a good thing he's not Welsh, though.

2.0 out of 5 stars Too much smut 8 May 2014

I enjoy the edited tv version very much, but this was just too much over the edge, too many of the 'jokes' depended on downright crudity or were thoroughly anti-establishment. The dreadful Frankie Boyle especially seemed unable to perform without any finesse or real humour..

1.0 out of 5 stars Totally disappointed 27 Feb 2014

The show itself is clever. This "Too Hot For TV" is crap. I am not over-sensitive, I bought it hoping that it would be 'recherché', but Frankie Boyle drags it down to two jokes only, one the 'f' word as often as possible, the other a reference to perversion-sex. Even Dara is cringing in pain at some of the shock-for-shock's-sake comments.
Wish I could pass it on to someone I know, but no-one wants it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Meh.
Bloopers, outtakes and rude bits that weren't allowed on tv. Basically 90% of what Frankie Boyle says. It's funny, but if you're not a fan of Frankie, don't bother.

Mislead by an acquaintance to acquire this rubbish I very much regret wasting the money and wish that some warning for unsuspecting buyers might be displayed.
