Product Description
The design of the Moby Wrap uses your entire back, as well as your shoulders, to carry the weight of your baby. Unlike other carriers, which have narrow straps or go across one shoulder, the Moby Wrap is a wide piece of fabric that is wrapped over both shoulders. It is amazingly comfortable and easy to wear. There are no buckles, snaps or other fasteners. It is easy to adjust the fit of your Moby Wrap by varying how tightly you wrap yourself and your baby.

After a few nights and days of my baby refusing to let me put her down I bought this in desperation. I'd tried other slings/carriers and they were bulky or difficult to use. I was fully expecting this to be the same but I was so wrong.
It is a strip of thick jersey type fabric which you put around your belly and then cross over your back, then around your front. The rest of the fabric is tied around your waist. There are a number of ways to carry the baby depending on age and preference but basically you tuck or carry the baby in the pockets created on your front by the crossed over fabric. They can face in or out depending on age. The wrap is tied the same in pretty much all of the holds. There are numerous videos showing how to tie the wrap online but the booklet which comes with it has clear instructions. You might want to wear it in the house a few times to be confident with it before going out, also tie it tighter than you'd first think.
My baby moans about being put in and taking her out but once in she's quite happy and will stay in there calmly watching the world or, mostly falling asleep! Her weight is evenly distributed accross my back (try and get the fabric as flat as possible accross your back) and I have both arms free so can get on with my day.
It washes and tumble dries well. I've also not managed to stain it yet which is great seeing as I generally end up eating with baby in it!
I've dropped a star because I can't get the hang of breastfeeding in it which is a shame (seems to crush her head), and I struggled a bit with the newborn hold as her chin seemed to fall on her chest but luckily we both preferred the hug hold so it didn't matter. It's also expensive for what is essentially a strip of t-shirt material. Having said that I wouldn't hestitate to buy again, and I imagine I'll be using it for a long time and have recommended it to friends.

This is one of the best things I have got for my baby. She is only four weeks old, but already I have used it so much. She cries as soon as she is put down anywhere, and now that my husband has gone back to work it was just impossible to do anything except cuddle her all day. Now I can cuddle her in the sling all day, while doing the washing, the washing up, cooking, I have even learnt the art of expressing whilst she sleeps in the sling. If I could only work out how to have a shower whilst wearing it I would be completely sorted!!
It is really easy to use, and she seems really comfortable in it. She sometimes screams when she's being put in, but quickly settles down, and often sleeps in it. When she is awake she's very happy looking around as I get on with things.
The sling is really good quality and the booklet which comes with it is incredibly useful. I look forward to using the other types of hold when she gets a bit bigger.
It does seem expensive for a piece of material but worth every single penny to give me the ability to keep my daughter incredibly happy, safe and comfortable, whilst being able to get on with everything involved in looking after her properly. I hope to continue to use it for a long time, as I think it's so important to keep my baby with me all the time, rather than leaving her to cry in a moses basket that she hates. I think that it makes for a secure child who feels loved and looked after.

I cannot recommend this enough. It was worth every penny I have used it so much. I bought it when my son was 5 months old but wish I'd bought it when he was a new born as I think he'd have loved it from the beginning.
I use it to walk my dogs on rugged land, but I Also use it when I don't want the hassle of the pushchair and I use it for breast feeding and in supporting his weight.
He loves it and snuggles down and almost always has a nice sleep. It makes him feel much lighter than he actually is. He weights over 20 lb now and I'm still happily carrying him in it. It holds him really close to my body, it's so intimate and close.
