Product Description

The screen measures only 2.6in diagonally, so despite the poor 320x240 resolution, text and images are still reasonably clear. Browsing web pages was more of a chore, however, as the 320 pixels of horizontal space isn't enough to display most web pages at their full width. Thankfully, most web sites let you re-format the text to fit the width of your screen, but on more graphics-driven sites you may have to scroll left-to-right to see the whole page

4.0 out of 5 stars For the right price a decent android phone 17 Jun. 2012
This phone is built down to a price so it does suffer in some areas for example the back is a clip on plastic item. However if you find it for the right price (I paid £50 for mine) it is worth considering.

This is a qwerty keyboard phone with a touch screen. The operating system is android 2.2 which means you can get a wide variety of apps for the phone some of which are free.

Setting up is easy. Just pop the back of the phone off, insert the sim, the battery and micro sd card (mine was supplied with a 2GB card but I think they can handle up to 32GB). The phone boots in a miunute or so and even though I live in a weak signal area it picks up a good signal.

The data connection works fine but it can also use a wi-fi connection to save on data costs. The wifi is turned on by default so you might to turn that off to save battery until you need it.

It has 3 different e-mail clients installed as standard and between 2 of these I can connect to all 3 e-mail services I need. Since that was the main reason for swapping from a nokia phone (using the patchy at best nokia e-mail service) I'm obviously quite relieved!

By the way, one of the three clients (the one called "Mail", not gmail or pop/imap) is trial of a paid push e-mail service from Orange. They don't tell you that until you've signed up sadly. It is a trial and you have to contact Orange to continue it after the free period is over but I still think it is a bit naughty of them. I just use the gmail (which synchronises the phone calendar with your google calendar if you have one) and pop/imap clients which are free apart from the data usage.

The phone has a music player and a 3.5mm jack so you can use decent headphones.

It has an ok camera, no flash, but it works.

I love my Barcelona mobile but I wish the instruction manual was more explicit and easier to read. I am not using all the faciilities on the phone I know, because I cant find how they work.

Although not a brand leader this phone, which also came with £5.00 top up credit represented great value for the money.
