A fascinating book that sucks you into the dark, complex mind of Charlie Carneglia. A man who on the one hand lived and breathed Mob law yet steadfastly refused to show total allegience to his fellow mobsters. His loyalty to his Gambino boss john gotti was unquestionable yet he never seemed to fully embrace The Mob especially after the jailing of Gotti. Charlie done his own thing. Nothing he did was for show, murders he committed were done through rage. He made murder personal(unusual if you believe the films that murder is simply 'business'). 'Mob Killer' offers us an insight into an unknown (major) mob player who's importance to the Gambino family cannot be underestimated. A mob hitman kills because of orders from his boss. Its a bullet to the head. Charlie stabbed with a knife and didnt always get permission. A must-buy if you want to understand what brought Gotti's crew to the top of the Gambino family.
