Format:Mass Market Paperback
A fascinating book that sucks you into the dark, complex mind of Charlie Carneglia. A man who on the one hand lived and breathed Mob law yet steadfastly refused to show total allegience to his fellow mobsters. His loyalty to his Gambino boss john gotti was unquestionable yet he never seemed to fully embrace The Mob especially after the jailing of Gotti. Charlie done his own thing. Nothing he did was for show,murders he committed were done through rage. He made murder personal(unusual if you believe the films that murder is simply 'business'). 'Mob Killer' offers us an insight into an unknown (major) mob player who's importance to the Gambino family cannot be underestimated. A mob hitman kills because of orders from his boss. Its a bullet to the head. Charlie stabbed with a knife and didnt always get permission. A must-buy if you want to understand what brought Gotti's crew to the top of the Gambino family.

I agree with ALL Ss "ss" says in his reveiw, but would also add that this book is also very much more than just a story on "The man who made John Gotti dangerous" I enjoyed reading about The Bergin Hunt and Fish Club and its associates. If you like "Mob" books I'm sure you will enjoy this one.

Just seemed to be a book cobbled together with hearsay didn't seem like insider knowledge. Seemed more of an eccentric really who was probably taken advantage of by the mafia than a real mob killer such as Tommy Pitera, DeMeo or Mirra. Also seemed to repeat itself.

Not the best mob book I've ever read but definitely entertaining. The cost definitely makes it worth a purchase though

Never buy a book on recommendation
Have not finished yet as it is beginning to bore me. Unlike the Massino book Stefano wrote this falls way short.
