4.0 out of 5 stars Raw energy from the Keys 5 April 2013
Format:Audio CD
Great little EP containing very raw and almost basic versions of four tracks, but creating that incredible soulful feeling that only the Keys can. Put this in the car stereo and drive off fast. It will put a big smile on your face. My favourite tracks are Heavy Soul and Everywhere I go, but really I listen to it as an EP, all four tracks as a single exquisite experience. Why 4/5? Because its only 4 tracks and you want more. But the best 4.00 you'll spend. Closest to their LP Rubber Factory in style because of course that is why one or two tracks originate from, but that is no bad thing.

4.0 out of 5 stars an ep not an album 11 Mar 2012
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
This is good, but very short. The last track, a cover of 'have love will travel' by the sonics is excellent

5.0 out of 5 stars More fantastic music from the Black Keys 22 Oct 2005
Format:Audio CD
If you haven't heard the Black Keys before then you should start with one of their albums, but if you have and are wondering if you should buy this - then do it! You know you won't be disappointed.

4.0 out of 5 stars "The Moan" Arguably TBK's best song! 17 April 2008
By R. Wooten - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
I'm kind of surprised more people haven't reviewed this EP. "The Moan" aside from "Busted" is my favorite of all TBK songs. The main riff sounds like a take off of Howlin' Wolf's "Moanin at Midnight". The middle of the song is Carney at his best and Dan ripping it up with variations of the great blues riff. This song alone makes this EP worth buying. I also really enjoy the fast paced new version of "Have Love Will Travel". This song was already a good one from their album "Thickfreakness" but it's made even better here. The Keys have another reprint on this album "Heavy Soul". I like the song but I wish they would have written a new one or put one of their unreleased songs in place of heavy soul. I don't see the need for a 4 song EP to feature two songs previouse released. If they had done something else other than heavy soul I might give this 5 stars. Next the Keys cover the Stooges "No Fun". I enjoy the song and it's a nice cover but it is not as great as the original. And no I'm not going to give it 3 stars because of the length of the album, it's called an EP for a reason people. Overall 4 stars. 2 great songs and 2 good ones.

I wouldn't say this is the Black Keys best album. It to raw for that it does have a nice feel though. If you area fan yo'll want it if you just like the song that made the radio skip it.
4.0 out of 5 stars A Great Listen For Longtime Black Keys Fans 15 Jan 2014

Although the album features only 4 songs, it still maintains those sweet lowfi sounds we've come to know the Black Keys by. A great addition to any album collection!

This is the Black Keys at their best. A perfect combination of rock and blues. This is not a full album but definitely worth it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great short album 27 April 2013

Great short album. Gritty, ballsy, bluesy. I'm in love. This one sounds like it was recorded in a garage and it works beautifully. Buy it.
