Format:Audio CD
Quite simply a stunning piece of work. This album seems to have fallen foul of record company politics that prevented this getting the promotion / airplay it deserves.
"Come home to me" and "I miss you" : I challenge anyone to listen to the words of these 2 songs, really listen to the words, and not be moved.
Immensely powerful lyrics, simple harmonics and Beverley's pure voice : simply a stunning combination.... If you want a Cd to dance to, give this one a miss. If you want a Cd to relax to, a Cd to move your, you can't do better...

I was 'umm'ing and 'arr'ing over this CD, having seen it on the high street for a good five pounds more (score one for Amazon!) but not wishing to gamble and find I hated it. Suffice it to say I don't, and I wish I'd got it sooner!
The style is what I would call simple; one voice, the various instruments and nothing else. Craven sings with meaning, with a voice that is both soft and delicate yet full when needed. I find the whole CD easy to listen to, perhaps soothing. I can see myself being able to work to this one!
If you are looking for something that is different from main stream pop, similar in vain to Mariah Carey's 'Music Box', then you'll probably enjoy 'Mixed Emotions'.

Format:Audio CD
From the opening bars of 'I miss you', to the final note of 'Afraid of letting go', this record is pure pleasure. A more mature songwriter has emerged since 'Love Scenes', and the hooks to her songs are even more infective. If you have her previous releases, you NEED this record. If you're new to Ms. Craven, then buy the perfect tonic to the noise of the Top 40 singles chart and ENJOY!
