More About the Author

Jill Mansell lives with her partner and children in Bristol, and writes full time.
Actually that's not true; she watches TV, eats fruit gums, admires the rugby players training in the sports field behind her house, and spends hours on the internet Tweeting and marvelling at how many other writers have blogs. Only when she's completely run out of displacement activities does she actually write.

5.0 out of 5 stars A light hearted novel perfect to read in the sun 13 May 2001
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
A tale of friendship romance and the ups and downs of life. I have read 6 Jill Mansell novels amd i must say that i found Mixed Doubles to be one of the best. I feel she showds her amazing talent, of gluing people to her books, very well in this particular novel. Amongst my favourite Jill Mansell novels are Miranda's Big Mistakke and Millie's Fling. These are both light hearted books which are ideal to read especially while sun-bathing, now that it is summer.

5.0 out of 5 stars The complicated love lives of three friends 6 Jan 2001
Format:Hardcover
Yet another fantastically funny book by Jill Mansell. The love lives of Dulcie, Liza & Pru are beautifully observed in this twisted tale of the trials & tribulations of relationships. You'll be rolling around on the floor with Dulcie's antics, sympathising with Pru's heartbreak and wondering how Liza does it! If you like Jill Mansell's other work, then you'll love this one. I couldn't put it down

5.0 out of 5 stars Jill Mansell on fine form 19 April 2001
Format:Paperback
A brilliant read from one of my favourite authors. I borrowed it from my sister and have bought all of her other books subsequently. You can instantly empathise with the characters and are kept on edge by the twists in the plot, especially the ending.

Brilliantly written, humerous and entertaining. One of the best books I've read. Almost as good as Perfect Timing.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok, not her best. 17 April 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book is an easy read with all of the typical aspects of a romantic novel, but lacks the character likeability of some of her other books.
