Product Description

Product Description

An absolute classic in the training football category, durable, tough, long-lasting and reliable – Mitre’s Malmo football has withstood the test of time generation after generation.

Available in size 5, 4 & 3, the Mitre Malmo is highly recommended for use on grass in training session and training session.

The reliable 18 panel construction is manufactured to the highest and tightest specification to deliver the ultimate in power, accuracy, consistency and control. Manufactured using a high density 6P free PVC to withstand regular use in all weather conditions.

The Mitre Malmo uses high air retention bladder retains ball shape and pressure for longer, which means it doesn't require inflation before every use, great for people short on time.

To avoid damaging your Mitre football, care should be taken when inserting the inflation needle into the ball when using your Mitre pump, particularly on first inflation (remember your Mitre ball will be shipped deflated). We recommend you use Mitre Glycerine to lubricate the inflation needle, this will allow it to be inserted smoothly and carefully. Once inserted, inflate your ball to the desired pressure; there is a recommended pressure printed by the valve and the maximum pressure should not be exceeded. The amount of pressure inside the ball will significantly affect performance and could affect ball lifespan. To check ball pressure we recommend you use a Mitre Pressure Gauge, this will help set the ball pressure before use and ensure you get the most from your football. For match play, we recommend you inflate the ball to the maximum recommended pressure; for training, a pressure at the lower end of the recommended tolerance is advised.

After care – if you use your ball in wet / muddy conditions, we recommend that you clean off any excessive dirt with a damp cloth (do not clean in a bath or shower), before allowing to dry naturally in an airy place and away from the cold (use a Mitre Mesh Ball Sack to store where possible). Balls should not be force dried with heat as this may damage the ball.

In use on a hard court and wearing very quickly. Would recommend for grass but reservations about long term suitability for hard play areas.

We had 10 of these for this season (2013/4) for our U 10 team to train. Most of them lasted the season but only just. Peeling of the outer skin was the most common problem . One or two valves went and one's stitching went but we had none that bubbled. They were all still OK at Christmas but by the season's end we only had four that could be used at all and they had skin missing. In the balance between having decent training balls and having a tight budget these are OK (ish) .

Move over Rooney - my Cockerpoo is ace at dribbling the ball and works flat out until ball removed (and she doesn't get paid). Goal sense not that good at present. Ball lasting a lot longer than previous purchases, good piece of kit.

These footballs are very heavy and hard when blown to correct psi. Boys hate them. I have tried to reduce the psi to make them softer, which results in no bounce. Worst purchase I have made. Addias (super lights) are so much better in football development.
