4.0 out of 5 stars Extraordinary 2 Aug 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
The life of William Knibb, Baptist Missionary to Jamaica. It's honest (Knibb agreed not to denounce slavery in his preaching), but it's also brutal as Knibb stands up for the indigenous people, in the face of verbal and physical opposition.

it could have done with chapter headings, but that said, it's a good, albeit short, account of his struggles and triumphs for the sake of people and the gospel.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Good Book 16 Jun 2014
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Although quite short, this book is useful in terms of the Baptist missionary journey towards the 1833 Abolition of Slavery Act as spearheaded by William Knibb. I'm surprised there isn't a film made about this.
