So I think they should've released these books closer to each other - had to wait THREE WEEKS from Mission 2 to find out what happens next. Read it in a week on the commute so could've done with it coming out first week of Jan. BUT. Well worth the wait. Gives you a real behind-the-scenes look at the uprising in Libya, the way the Regiment could possibly have been involved. And I love John Bald the more I read about him. He's a legend in the making!

War at its finest 18 Jan 2012

Blistering pace. Memorable characters. Dialogue and action that rips along at a pace that could break a swan's neck. Nothing more to say that the book doesn't say itself.

I really like the work of Chris Ryan, and have read most of his works. I unlike some also like the "quick reads" phenomenon which is taking the eBooks world by storm.

But with this series of 4 the author is using his name to pedal quickly written novellas, which have a lack of direction, don't make sense in many places and are wrought with errors both type and continuity!

I will read the 4th book when it comes out on the 30th, but Chris, I you read these reviews, please resume your usual quality of work with both novels and quick reads - please - or you will lose at least one loyal reader!
