Review

provides a fascinating analysis of Jewish missionary attitudes, and raises questions for church historians and theologians about the influences which shaped the young Church (Church Times )

for Jews and Christians this book is a rich source of interest and relevance ... There is a great deal of information and analysis that is clearly presented and cogently argued (Expository Times )

Very Detailed, Solid Study 4 Jan 2008
By Eric W. Zeller - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Goodman has written perhaps the most detailed work on this subject, and anyone working in the field would be remiss not to consult him. Does a good job of distinguishing between different types and levels of mission, then analyzing the ways in which each was present.

Putting things straight 3 Jan 2007
By Dr. Fritz Forkel - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
A very enlightening book that questions and puts right

old assumptions.
