Although a little different from their previous releases, another big hit for the girls. A ballod about a lost love. Beautiful vocals with a very haunting and memorable chorus. Only missed the top spot by a whisker.

Amazingly, as matters stand, excluded from the 'NOW 77' album.

Have to agree with the previous reviewer. Whilst this song is within the realms of what would be expected from the girls, this song just doesn't quite match up to certain previous efforts, and a pattern is beginning to emerge. Many people have questioned/criticised why this song didn't reach number 1 in the singles charts, and effectively the answer is this...

This song, like the last two is negative - about break-up of relationships, pain, suffering etc...if there was a more positive tone to the words it might just be more appealing to a wider audience!!!

Songs like 'Up' for example, when the band was just starting out and 'I Just Can't Get Enough' which was unlucky not to top the charts had far more potential.

Don't misunderstand me, I am most definitely a fan, and I understand that negative tunes often echo real life, but come on, let's get some fun back into the music to really draw people in. If you have a chance to listen to Headlines, the group's new mini-album, the tune 'Higher' is exactly what I mean ! Apart from an ascending dance tune, even the name of it has positive connotations.

Something Missing 8 Aug 2010
Format:Audio CD
You can't but feel that the latest offering from The Saturdays is missing something. Maybe it's the anti-climax in expecting that the song is going to pick up in to a nice dance along tune as it enters the chorus but then just trots along as if nothing has happened.. There's nothing to really draw you in and possibly a turn off mid-way through.
B-Side track Ready To Rise is more likely what the casual listener is used to hearing from the girls. Casual listeners will tolerate whilst fans will no doubt love.
