Product Description

Kim Hockney has a secret. It's to do with the terrible thing that happened eight years ago-and she's never, ever going to be able to tell anyone. It's bad enough that she lost Judy. Her parents are careful not to say it was her fault, but she knows they can't help thinking it sometimes. They look at her and wonder what her little sister would have been like, if Kim hadn't let her run off that dark afternoon. Judy never came back-but Kim still sees her: in the street in her pink fleece top: on the swings with her shining balloon trailing through the air. It seems as if the family will never get any answers-until the day some new evidence turns up.

This is a story about Kim, who lost her sister one night in the park when her sister, Judy was five years old.
Eight years later Kim is still struggling to come to terms with the disappereance of her sister, and the past keeps haunting her. A big lie she told to help keeps nagging on her guilty. Her former best friend Tessa shows her the image of a gilr in Seattle, who's name is Judy and whom are 13years old, with a British dialict, was adopted when she was 5 and the same "J" necklace that Kim's little Judy had. Can these Judy's be the same Judy?

This book was hard to get into at first but when you thought they had new evidence as to where judy was it got better. The way the ending of the book turned out was not at all how i expected. It is a very good read and as you go on the story just gets better and better.

I really liked the look of the story line for this book and it seemed very interesting!

However a few chapters into this book and I was bored senseless. I know it sometimes takes a while to get into books but this was ridiculous. A few more chapters in and nothing had changed. I hated all the characters and couldn't connect with any of them.

The story line was really great with some amazing twists and when new evidence was found it did start to get a little better. The ending was also very unexpected. I finished the book mainly because I wanted to know what would happen at the end. I just feel that the book was badly written and the story line had massive potential for a great book, just the way in which it was written let it down.

I wouldn't recommend this book if you want a constantly interesting book, it was quite a hard book to read too. If you want a book that's slow pace with a lead up to a big ending then this is for you; just don't expect any interesting characters along the way.
