This book is well worth aquiring, especially if you, like me are a novice tranny. It helps you to realise that dressing should be fun and joyful but that perfection takes practice!
It is written with humour and is stimulating throughout. The only thing that loses it a fifth star is the case studies, all of whom seem to want to be submissive in their femme lives. That is not my bag at all!
Still worth putting in your Prada bag, though girls!

You must have this book!

How lucky we are to have Veronica Vera. She is our muse, our every-woman, full to bursting with warmth and radiant sexuality. Her wonderful book gives expression to the feminine self so many of us have fought to deny, and encourages us to explore and be happy. This is sex-positive writing at its best.
Ms. Vera offers us a humorous and intelligent book. The practical information given is mixed with her experiences of working with gender explorers of all stripes (and there are a lot of stripes out there!). The exploration of their true sexual nature and Ms. Vera's guidance not only offers encouragement, it makes a good read. And the tips are invaluable, commenting on everything from shoes to support groups (probably support hose as well).
My recommendation is that you purchase this book immediately. It will brighten your day. It will make you happy to be a woman and provide you with the inspiration to express your joy and sexuality more openly. We brighten the world when we venture forth from our over-stuffed closets.

Simply put, Miss Vera has my dream job. Cross-dressing isn't about slapping on pancake make-up and a thrift store rag... it's about exuding class and glamour and Miss Vera provides the reader with a menagerie of resources to evolve into the quintessential ultra-femme. Viva Vera!

an intriguing book that takes us into the world of cross-dressing and transgender, by the founder of the premier finishing school.
This book does well to dispel myths about those who choose to dress and act opposite their assigned sex. In here are a number of accounts of men who explain why they feel the way they do, and what brings them in this direction.
For friends I have who have struggled with their gender, it comes down not to one's sexuality; it all comes down to how they feel about themselves, and what is right for them.
Miss Vera offers many tips of the trade, how to shop, how to find the right clothes, how to deal with those interesting male things (body hair, I think is one), and it's a fast read.
Some of the photos are interesting, to see the transformations; I'm sorry to say some of them are not that convincing, but others are very much so. You'd meet these people on the street and not know.
It will make you think...no doubt about that.
