5.0 out of 5 stars A wartime compendium of local talent for 1943, 1 Nov 2007
By Michael J. Brett "Michael Brett" (London, England) - See all my reviews

The best bit is the song and dance sequence on the platform of Waterloo Station in the opening sequence to an announcer singing 'The front of the train for Basingstoke and Wareham, the back of the train for Sutton and South Fairham (or something like that) then the destination boards spin round and spell the end lyric, Waiting for you when the eight-fifty choo choo pulls in. Fab. I think of it every time I go to Waterloo Station.

4.0 out of 5 stars A fine comedy, 29 Aug 2009
By Paul Brown (South Yorkshire, U.K.) - See all my reviews
One of the best of Arthur Askey's films about entertaining homecoming troops. It contains many good comedy scenes and Arthur and Evelyn Dall make a fine comic team.
