As others have said, this is a lovely story and very well written with good characterisation. You can just imagine yourself right there dressed up in your regency finery and enjoying the London Season alongside Rosalind! A fast paced story - which I could hardly put down so finished it far too quickly. Definitely recommend this author.

This story has an interesting premise and I really enjoyed it. The character of Max resembles Georgette Heyer heroes, so expect understated appeal rather than Adonis. There are a few annoying Americanisms, but Candice Hern knows her subject well enough to forgive the odd language slip. I will definitely look for her other books.

I didn't origainally fancy reading this author as I must admit I usually go for more explicit sexual romances such Liz Carlyle, Sabrina Jeffries and Lisa Kleypas as well as JR Ward but you really dont miss this explicitness with this author. Her stories are beautifully written with wonderful sensual charaters that come alive in her stories which are original and different. All her books are a must read not just this one.

Wonderful characters and a wonderful plot. I've read A LOT of regency romances and it's rare to find something so refreshing and enjoyable. Loved every minute.

Goodness me, this was fun! I was recommended this by a friend, and have no regrets at all - interesting story, whipping along at a cracking pace, individual characterisation of all the main characters, and a satisfying ending.

Georgette Heyer ever so slightly raced up.

If you love Georgette Heyer, don't read this! Laboured plot, wooden characters, wooden style. Ok for a read on the beach after a good lunch and a jug of sangria - it held my interest enough to finish it, at least!

This story was OK but totally lacking the research and sparkle of a Georgette Heyer Regency novel. I felt it was predictable and run of the mill .... Would rather reread a GH ....
