An interesting and absorbing read.It has been written with a period feel- not snobbish but with the attitudes MIss Hewitt would have held in the 1910's.Enjoyable

It was a real pleasure to read this book,. A fiesty female main character not conforming to the time she is born into. I would call it a "Feel good" book, very light reading, pickup and put down if you can.

3.0 out of 5 stars Worth a Try 29 Mar. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This was a budget buy and was not bad value for money. It proved a pleasant read but somehow didn't quite fill me up. That said, I wonder if the characters and narrative might develop further and I will probably try another volume in the series.
