Book Description

Foreign Affairs, Book Two

Flying halfway 'round the world to meet his potential soul mate sounds like a fine idea to Dylan Sullivan--until he discovers said soul mate, Annie, has gone looking for him. In Australia. Now Dylan's adrift, a bloke from the Outback alone in the bloody big city. Until he's rescued by Monet, a gorgeous local artist...and Annie's best friend.
A dyed-in-the-wool New Yorker, Monet has never met anyone like Dylan. Taking temporary care of the sizzling-hot cowboy is easy; he's friendly, funny and interesting. Keeping her hands off him is decidedly not easy. That horny accent, that killer grin...and as a successful artist, Monet is very much a hands-on sort of girl.

Dylan and Monet hold back until they learn Annie is engaged in her own foreign affair in Oz. Then all bets--and clothes--are off. But it can only be a fling. An Aussie cowboy doesn't belong in New York any more than a city girl belongs in the Outback.

Now if only their hearts would listen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Misplaced Cowboy (Foreign Affairs, Book Two) 20 Aug. 2012

Once again a really superb and sexy story from Lexxie. I can't believe no one else here has liked or reviewed this story. This is the other side of Misplaced Princess and fits like a pair of matching bookends. A brilliant read that was so extremely difficult to put down once begun and I'm so sad I've finished. Mind you I will read it again and again.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Misplaced Cowboy is sexy hot!" 28 Jan. 2013
By M. Nix - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
Aussie Cattleman Dylan Sullivan is flying half way around the world to meet the woman he thinks may be his soul mate. Unfortunately when he arrives it's to discover that Annie the woman he's planning to meet has flown to Australia to meet him. What a miscommunication! Now he's stranded in New York with no luggage and no place to stay until he meets Annie's best friend Monet.

Monet is a New Yorker through and through. She's a well-known artist and an excellent best friend. It's the last part that she's having trouble with at the moment. There is something special about this Aussie that makes Monet want to throw caution to the wind and take Dylan to bed but what about her friend, Annie?

Will Dylan and Monet be able to fight the attraction between them? Some love won't be denied, but even if they give in is it possible for an American and an Aussie to make a relationship work?

Misplaced Cowboy is sexy hot! I could not wait to get my hands on this book so I could find out what happened when Dylan landed in New York. You absolutely must read what happened when Annie landed in the Outback in Misplaced Princess. The two stories have become a favorite that I will definitely be sharing with all my friends. The passion that sparks between Dylan and Monet is immediate and powerful. It's totally goosebump material. I am in love with Lexxie Couper and Mari Carr's Foreign Affairs series. It's like getting the best of two worlds bringing sizzling Aussie Cattlemen and beautiful American women together. I mean who doesn't love that fantasy! Misplaced Cowboy is one erotic romance that should not be missed!

3.0 out of 5 stars C rating for AUDIOBOOK...NOT the book 4 Jan. 2014

My Review:
Overall... 1.00 star
Performance.... 4.50 star
Story... 2.75 star (would have been much higher if the audio had an ending)

When I finished this audiobook, I was stunned. The story didn't end. When the audiobook is over, Dylan is in Australia and Monet is in America...APART in every way possible. I looked online and only one person mentioned the abrupt ending. That couldn't be it, could it? I bought book #3 thinking that it would bring the two books together and finish the story. Nope, although there is a TINY mention of this couple to let you know they got their HEA, there was no real resolution to how they got there. #3 is about different characters. WTF? I even tweeted the authors to see if the audiobook was missing the final chapter or something, but didn't get a response because it was Christmas week. Finally, I went online and bought the kindle book sure that the audio cut out something.

I was right. THE AUDIOBOOK does not finish the book. It left out the ENTIRE LAST CHAPTER!!!

So this is your warning: DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK FROM AUDIBLE. The audiobook on there is missing Chapter 12.

Otherwise the book was good. I was enjoying the story, but ack!?! I did return my audiobook to Audible and they gave me back my credits very simply, but it's so aggravating. I don't want someone else to have this problem. If you are interested in this book, buy the ebook version, NOT the audiobook...which I hate because I really enjoyed the audio version's a great length and the narrator is great. BTW, this was the status of this audio buy as of December, 2013. Hopefully, someone will get it fixed because otherwise this book would have earned a B+ rating from me.

Misplaced Cowboy is Book Two of the Foreign Affairs series by Lexxie Couper and Mari Carr. While it could probably be read as a stand-alone, it does run alongside Misplaced Princess (Book One) and in order to get the full picture of what is going on, I definitely recommend starting from the beginning with Book One.

After getting teasing glances of what may or may not be happening between Dylan and Monet in Book One, we finally get to find out firsthand what is going on. Dylan is a hot, sexy, Australian stockmen who finds himself alone in New York. Monet is an erotic New York artist/sculptor.

The plot is very similar to Book One with Dylan and Monet intensely attracted to each other even though Dylan traveled to the US to meet face to face Annie, Monet’s best friend. The sparks fly between the two of them as they try desperately to fight their attraction. While not unique, it engaged me from Page One.

The authors do an excellent job bringing the entire story to life and making me feel a part of the character’s lives. There were definitely some comical moments in this story which had me laughing out loud. There were moments however where I felt myself tearing up a bit as well. I experienced a myriad of emotions in this story.

All in all, this was a great addition to the series which I read very quickly and could not put down. I am eagerly looking forward to the reading the remaining books in the series.

This one is about Monet and Dylan and its another great story. I can't wait to read book 3. I'm sure something is going to happen with the dad and I can't wait to find out.
