Format:Audio CD
I first heard this album courtesy of a friend of mine, and i have to confess the thought of an indie influenced reggae album didn't really appeal, but i'm delighted to say that after one listen i found any aprehensions to be ill founded. Mishka's voice is terrific, you can really feel the emotion in it, as he sings about life, love, etc. The production is actually pretty good, a lot cleaner than many other reggae albums, and all in all very laid back, but let no-one call this music 'coffee table' as it really does have a huge amount of depth to it, 'Johanna' could well be one of the greatest reggae songs ever. For all music lovers this is simply essential

I've heard some criticism of Mishka suggesting he's trying to rip-off Bob Marleys voice however one listen to this album will have you hooked. Lonely is superb and the acoustic arrangements on tunes like One true and When the rain comes down are fantastic. This is a fresh sounding reggae album but not too popified to put off hardcore reggae-heads or too heavy for Joe Bloggs. Wicked.

Mishka. Songs full of Sunshine

Mishka is a dreadlocked master of chill out. The perfect album to relax and pretend you can sing to. The 5 star rating is no over exageration, I first heard Mishka from a friend on a trip to Liverpool and it seemed to fit the mood completly. Whilst sitting on a rooftop 5 floors up over looking the city on a warm summers day. This is what the mood of the album is all about layzin in the sun. Mishka has a pure voice, very smooth and inspiring. From the opening track'I give you all my love' which is a smooth sounding song about love and his relationship with crystal clear seas. To 'Loney' a song of heartbreak you can't go wrong with this purchase. Seeing him at Glastonbury I got a feeling of his identity and his origins which are still unpolluted despite his new relative fame. Basically, If your feeling stressed with the hum drum of the modern superhighway that is life and need reminding what its all about, buy this put it on, lay down, shut your eyes and drift away to a sandy beach with warm blue sea, you can really feel that sun on your face.
